Stuart's ramblings
11/29/06. It's been awhile since I have updated this page so, it's time to do so.
We've enjoyed this year having met a lot of nice people and picked at some great places. Our regular gig continues to be Wednesday nights at the Deli. We missed last week with Thanksgiving and all and Jeremy is catching up on work related duties tonight so we will be playing without him. That's alright though although Jarod and I end up working harder with one less lead player. I'll stand close to Eric and feed off his great rhythmn guitar tonight. He is rock solid on guitar which is a real joy for a banjo player to play with.
We played the Biscuits and Bluegrass Festival at the Loveless Cafe in Nashville this fall and had a great time. We seemed to have gone over well. We are available for all kinds of functions: weddings, parties, barn burnings, festivals, etc. The phone number for Eric and Jeremy are on the home page as well as an email link.

8/1/07: We have been having a great summer. Crowds have been very receptive at the Front Page Deli as we continue to play there on Wednesday nights. This past Saturday found us playing at Dunbar Cave, a wonderful natural area once owned and operated by Roy Acuff. We have been confirmed as playing the Americana Folk Festival May 3.If you have photos of the band that you have taken at any of our shows feel free to send them along so we can post some of them on this page.
3/04/08. How times passes....We are still at the Deli. Winter crowds have been smaller but appreciative. Jeremy is writing some incredible stuff. check out the Jeremy Holt Band myspace page on our links page. The Holt Brothers Band is scheduled to go into the studio Easter weekend to cut our first CD. Don Wayne and Dale Reno joined us at the Deli a few weeks prior to the start of their latest Hayseed Dixie European tour. We will be playing for a benefit this Saturday at the Cumberland Furnace Community Center. Come and check it out. If you want more details, send us an email. I've had a touch of nostalgia this week with the passing of the great Mike Smith (Dave Clark Five). What an amazing voice he had. If you don't remember the Dave Clark Five, check them out: the first band to knock the Beatles out of first place on the charts. Also, check out our link to the Ballistic Pintos for a nice tribute to the late great Wayne Brown.I am thankful that we at briefly passed through each other's time on this planet.
