Eric has been involved in Bluegrass all his life. He was born into a musical family having been heavily influenced by his father's incredible guitar work and vocals with the renowned Queen City Grass. Some of his early influences include the Country Gentlemen, Seldom Scene, Jimmy Martin, Flatt and Scruggs and a whole host of others too numerous to name.

Eric is also an afficianado of traditional blues.

His solid rhythm guitar work and lead singing are integral to the sound and soul of the Holt Brothers Band.
