Stuart Bonnington has been involved in music in some form pretty much his whole life. Starting on the clarinet in fourth grade, he played clarinet and saxophone up through his undergraduate days at Transylvania University. He has been playing banjo for over 30 years. In Wisconsin he played with the Red Cedar Valley Band and the Blatz Brothers. He was a founding member of Chattanooga’s White Trash Mountain Boys and Hill City Grass.
His latest musical challenge is learning the Uillean pipes. His progress so far has resulted in his cats refusing to stay in the same room with him.
He is a professor of psychology at Austin Peay State University.
